Partial Cobra Baroness Costume

Regular price $70.00 $0.00

I am in the process of clearing out my costumes that I know I won't be wearing again. (I'm 53 and fluffy now... there's no way I'm going to fit into these outfits anymore! :-D) There's no point in leaving them sitting in my costume tubs when someone out there might enjoy wearing them!

---------------------------------

I am 5'7" and I weighed around 135 pounds when I made this costume.  I also wore it when I was around 145 pounds and it still fit, I just let out the sides of the armor straps a bit! It was worn one time at Dragon Con, one time at WonderCon, and one time at a local GI Joe Con

Costume includes:

- Torso armor, front and back pieces. I sculpted the armor on a cast of my body, made a mold, and then cast it in fiberglass. The pieces attach at the top with fabric straps and on the sides with velcro. There is a slight line in the paint on the front which isn't very noticeable unless you're looking for it. A piece of my Leia belt broke off during our flight to Atlanta and worked its way through my luggage leaving costume carnage in its wake. It scratched a small silver line on the front armor, so I covered it with Sharpie as a temporary fix, and then when I got back home I sanded and repainted that area. The line is from the edge that I had taped off to keep the paint away from the red decal. (It was difficult to put that decal on straight on a multi-curved surface, so I really didn't want to peel it off and replace it when I repainted!)

- Lace front wig. I believe this is a human hair wig. I've used glue and wig tape, and both worked well, though I think the glue looked better. The tape left a slight glint showing through the lace when people used flash photography.

- Non-prescription costume glasses (with case)

- Boots are size 9M and have leather uppers. They're surprisingly comfortable!

*** CATSUIT, BELT, WEAPONS, AND THIGH/KNEE ARMOR ARE NOT INCLUDED*****

(The latex jumpsuit was starting to fall apart after being in storage, and the pair of thigh armor pieces decided to glue themselves together so they didn't survive. I'm not sure what happened to the knee pieces, but I can't find them anymore. They were just skating pads with the logos painted black.)

Shipping Advisory: Shopify does not always charge accurate shipping rates. If you are charged too much for shipping, I will refund the extra.  I don't schedule UPS pickups very often, so I advise selecting USPS for faster shipping.
