These are additional designs that can be added to silicone headpieces. The designs are painted on the silicone during the casting process and they will be permanent. When you select these options, we can work together to determine the best placement, color, size and pattern to match your ideas. I may not be able to match every idea because silicone does have limitations, and symmetry can be difficult to achieve... but I do enjoy the challenge of trying new designs! I am keeping the prices as low as I can while still covering the additional time and supplies they will require.
HOW TO TELL ME YOUR DESIGN PLANS:
When you check out, you can click the "ADD A NOTE TO YOUR ORDER" button. Describe your add-on plans in that box, and I will contact you for more details when I am ready to work on your headpiece. Please let me know what email address you want me to use when I contact you. In the meantime, it would really help if you could sketch your idea so you'll be ready to show me what you have in mind! (You cannot attach pictures to the checkout page notes, but we can share them via email.)
"WHAT IF I'M NOT SURE OF WHICH OPTION TO SELECT?"
I know that this is a pretty simplified list. If you aren't certain which option to select, just take your best guess and then explain what you want in the "ADD A NOTE TO YOUR ORDER" box at checkout. I will work with you to get everything figured out. If you overpaid, I will refund the extra. If I think the design you are asking for needs a bit more funding to cover the extra time and supplies, I will let you know before I start the work. I'll try to keep it all as fair as possible for both of us!
A NOTE ABOUT STENCILS:
Silicone is not paint. It's a thick, sticky goo that requires several layers and takes hours for each layer to cure. While I can use stencils to guide the application of designs on a lekku headpiece, there are limitations and the silicone won't behave the same way that paint would. Please consider the stencils to be great for design ideas, but understand that I can't always replicate what you see in them when I'm working with silicone. The cone shape of the lekku can create challenges, too! Stencil designs can be mixed and matched from different sources, and they can be enlarged or reduced in size. (My white stencils are plastic artist's stencils. The black stencils are disposable stickers used for applying temporary tattoos and henna at faires and other events.)
Small One Color Tattoo: $10
I can add small one-color tattoo patterns to lekku. This option is for a pattern that is 4 inches square or smaller. You can supply the design, or use one of mine. (I have a large collection of stencils with a variety of designs.) It is best to place tattoo patterns in places where the lekku don't have an extreme curvature.
Small Two-Color Tattoo: $20
I can add simple design tattoos with two colors to the lekku. This option is for a pattern that is 4 inches square or smaller. You can supply the design, or use one of mine.
Small Multi-Color Tattoo: $30
This option is for tattoo patterns that have multiple colors, and possibly a more complicated design that is 4 inches square or smaller. My ability to make these designs will be limited by the capabilities of the silicone.
I can add small freckles to any area of the lekku. The color and placement are up to you!
Half-Lekku Airbrushed Spots: $20
This option is for airbrushed spots that cover half the headpiece or less. The airbrush will create soft-edge, natural looking spots and there will be paint overspray in the area between the spots.
Full-Lekku Airbrushed Spots: $30
This option is for airbrushed spots that cover the majority of the headpiece. Please keep in mind that I can't get a good angle on the underside of the lekku with the airbrush. The airbrush will create soft-edge, natural looking spots and there will be paint overspray in the area between the spots.
Half-Lekku Hand Painted Spots: $20
This option is for hand-painted spots that are applied with a paint brush over half the headpiece or less. The spots will have hard edges and do occasionally show slight signs of brushstrokes.
Full-Lekku Hand Painted Spots: $30
This option is for hand-painted spots that are applied with a paint brush over the majority of the lekku length. The spots will have hard edges and do occasionally show slight signs of brushstrokes.
Airbrushed Stripes: $20
Stripes applied with an airbrush will have fuzzy edges and will appear to be a natural part of the lekku coloration. This is best for a tiger stripe look.
Hand Painted Stripes: $30
I can add solid color stripes with hard edges by painting the stripes with a brush. It takes me between two and three hours to paint full-lekku stripes by hand.
Pattern Band: $10
A stripe with a pattern (swirls, tribal design, etc) can be added around the lekku, similar to a tribal pattern that goes around a person's upper arm. The width of the stripe can vary depending on the pattern, from 1 to 2 inches tends to work best, with a maximum width of 3 inches.
Translucent Single Color Overspray: $10
This option is for a translucent wash of a second color over an area of the lekku. It is a subtle color shift that blends with the main color of the lekku. I have found that this option tends to look best on the top curve of the lekku, or the bottom half of the lekku.
Single Color Gradation: $10
This option is for adding a vibrant, opaque second color to a headpiece. I can airbrush a soft transition between one color and the next. The gradation can be on any area of the headpiece. I have found that putting the second color on the tips of the lekku tends to work the best.
Two Color Gradation: $15
This option is for a three-color ombre effect. I can airbrush a soft transition between each of the colors.
Simple Large Tattoo Pattern: $30
This option is for a simple tattoo pattern that covers a larger area of the lekku. This option is limited to tattoos with broad designs that don't require extra hours of fine detail work. (Please use this option for Darth Atroxa and the full-lekku SWTOR tattoos.)
Complicated Large Tattoo Pattern: $40
This option is for tattoo patterns that really take a lot of time to paint. Complicated designs, fine detail work, or anything that might make me whimper and panic a little bit when I see your sketched out design! (Please use this option for Darth Talon tattoos. It takes me approximately 4.5 hours to paint that design!)
