Darth Talon Lightsaber Prop

Regular price $28.00 $0.00

This sale is for a cast replica of my Darth Talon lightsaber. It is rotocast in urethane plastic.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a functioning prop. It is a resin replica and does not contain electronics or a blade holder. It is meant for wearing with a costume or posing for photographs. Or, they're great for display!

Option 1: Unfinished Casting. $35
- This casting has been rotocast in urethane plastic, but has not been finished or painted. There will be some seam lines from the mold along one side, a circular seam line where the mold is filled (from the mold plug), and there may be small air bubbles in the cast.

Option 2: Finished, Painted Casting. $85
- This casting has been rotocast in urethane plastic, the seam lines have been cleaned up, and the saber has been painted as shown in the example above. An anchor point has not been added for a belt clip.

B-Grade Castings:
From time to time I get a casting in which the seam line of the mold doesn't line up correctly, or I may get more little air bubbles than normal in the plastic. I offer these at a discounted rate, depending on how much work would be needed for you to repair them. If you are interested in a b-grade casting, please contact me and I'll let you know if I have anything on hand.

Painting the Castings:
If you wish to finish your own saber, I recommend using Krylon Fusion paint as the base coat. It adheres well to plastic. A thin wash of acrylics can be used in the low areas to bring out the design. (Don't use straight black; it tends to look unnatural. It's better to mix a gray using blue and brown.) Top it off with Krylon Matte Clear to protect the acrylics. To avoid scratches in the paint, handle the saber gently until the paint has had a chance to fully cure.

Photographs:
The photos shown above are not the same lightsaber castings which are for sale. They are examples. The lightsaber I ship will be cast from the same mold, and will look identical save for any natural variations in the casting and/or painting process.
